Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston serves more than 90,000 individuals each year through 15 different programs. The HIV/AIDS Ministry program provides compassionate services to people living with HIV and AIDS, as well as their families and caretakers.
HIV/AIDS Ministry was founded in 1988 by Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza, D.D. A highly and nationally recognized staff provides essential social services, counseling, prevention education, financial assistance, volunteer support, and spiritual support to patients, their families and the general public without regard to ethnic background or religious preference.
Concert at the Villa is presented in memory of the many loved ones lost and in honor of those whose dedicated ministry, efforts and prayers have sustained the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS. The Book of Remembrance, presented at the annual Mass of Remembrance, is permanently inscribed with the names of loved ones in whose names memorial gifts are given to support the HIV/AIDS Ministry. |
